What activities are available to children aged between 18 months and 3 years ?

All the day nursery's indoor activities (handicrafts, ball pools, games, puzzles...), games in the snow and tobogganing in the private outdoor yard. Outings can be arranged but not as a matter of course.

How can I be sure that my child's place has been booked ?

you will get an e-mail to confirm at the time of enrolling and paying on line.

My child suffers from a handicap, can he/she come to the nursery ?

Please get in touch with us with details of the handicap so that we can look at the question together and decide whether or not your child should come to the nursery.

Can I book a place for one or two days ?

Bookings can only be made for full weeks. Subject to availability, it may be possible to book on a daily basis on site.

My children over 3 years can take a nap in the afternoon ?

Yes, if he eats the kids club because a nap is possible from 13h to 14h

Mon enfant a moins de 3 ans, va t-il faire de la luge ?

Cacahuète est une crèche et non un club neige, où l'on joue dans la neige. Il se peut qu'un petit effectif aille faire de la luge, mais ce n'est pas systématique.

At what age can my child start skiing ?

Once a child has turned 3, he or she can start skiing with the ski school, for 1 1/4 hours from Monday to Friday in the mornings only. We can only accept children who are potty trained i.e. do not need nappies.

What happens if my child has an allergy ?

When you enrol, you must fill in the responsibility form and complete the relevant section so that we are able to take account of the allergy.

I don't have any ski equipment, who will provide it ?

The day nurseries do not have any ski equipment. You should rent it from one of the ski rental shops in the resort of Montchavin les Coches. You can also rent a helmet which is strongly recommended.

What happens if I don't arrive till Sunday ?

As ski lessons start on Sunday, we will be able to loof after your child from Monday, so that he can settle into his class. (except children aged 3 to 4 years who don't start till Monday).

What documents must be provided for children under 3 ?

A full record of a child's health and particularly all inoculations/vaccinations must be provided - the french carnet de santé.

Are lift passes included in the price of the day nursery ?

No these should be obtained from the ski lift ticket offices in Montchavin or les Coches. For children under 6, they are free but COMPULSORY. Proof of age is required.The pass may be used outside day nursery hours for family skiing.

My child isn't quite 6 months, can I enrol him/her ?

Sorry, but the PMI requires strict observation of the minimum ages for which each nursery is licensed - a child must have turned 6 months for Cacahuete at les Coches and 12 months for Chat Bleu at Montchavin and 3 years to begin skiing.

Will my child need slippers ?

Once your child starts to eat at the club, you should provide him/her with a par of slippers that will stay at the club all week.

I usually make up little pots of organic food for my child, can I bring them along ?

We provide meals suited to a child's age. If, however, you would like to provide your own little meals, you may do so without a change in the cost of the meal.

Where are the day nursery in the resort ?

At Montchavin, the village school and the Chat Bleu day nursery (from aged 12 months to 12 years) are in the centre of the resort opposite the bottom of the Sauget chairlift. At les Coches, just past the place des Commerces is the place des Carreaux, where you will find the Pirouette (from 3 to 12 years) and Cacahuete (from 6 months to 3 years) day nurseries.
